We also offer Preggie/Post-Natal Reformer Classes (1:8):

These classes are taught by Physiotherapists with a special interest in Women’s Health, our staff are trained specifically for pregnancy with an emphasis on the pelvic floor.

For pre natal mums the focus of these classes is to keep your Core strong for labour, strengthen your entire body, help prevent or reduce back pain and pelvic instability, as well as maintaining strength and endurance in your pelvic floor.

For the new mum the class helps labour recovery, reduces stomach muscle separation, strengthens the pelvic floor and is tailored towards the demands of a new mum like feeding, changing nappies etc. 

Safety is our primary concern, so we require verbal consent from your GP/Obstetrician/midwife to participate in these classes. If you have had a cesarean you will need to wait until your 6 week check up before commencing/recommencing the class. If you had an uncomplicated vaginal delivery you may begin when you feel ready and babies are always welcome!

If you are pregnant and have any complications or injuries you will most likely need one of Core’s tailored Pilates Program – Clinical Pilates (1:4). We use a specialised pregnancy pillow for all pre- natal physiotherapy and massage which enable you to lie on your front all the way through your pregnancy.
