Clinical Pilates (1:4)

At Core, Clinical Pilates involves having a Pilates Initial Assessment and an individually tailored program designed for you.

Some examples of the need for an individually tailored program include:

  • Suffering from a current injury
  • Low exercise tolerance
  • Decrease balance/confidence
  • Over 65 years
  • An irritable chronic injury which is easily exacerbated
  • Post surgery
  • Prefer a more intimate class

During the Pilates Initial Assessment you will have a musculoskeletal appraisal run by one of our highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapists, Osteopaths or Myotherapists. They will design your personalised Pilates program specific to your needs and around any injuries that you may have.

After the Pilates Initial Assessment, you will generally require up to a couple of 1:1 sessions to learn the principles of Pilates and start on your individual Pilates program. This involves using all the Pilates equipment, incorporating: mat, reformer, trapeze, wunda chair and barrel.

The physiotherapist/osteopath or myotherapist will then determine your progression to 1:4 sessions. There is a maximum of 4 people in each class and your instructor will pay close attention to your needs and ensure you perform all your exercises correctly to gain optimum results.

If you would like an Individually Tailored Pilates / Clinical pilates (1:4) program designed for you simply call one of our friendly receptionists on 03 9523 8111 and make an appointment for a Pilates Inital Assessment.
